When I met Dr. Tiff in March of 2015, I was 52 years old and weighed 189lbs. I’m currently 167lbs and have just finished running my 7th marathon in the past 7 months.

I grew up in a large, very active family. Growing up I played sports year round, and eventually ended up playing Tennis and running Cross country in College. After college, I competed professionally as a Duathlete (Running/Biking) and consistently ran sub 2:30 marathons. I was in amazing physical shape. Then life happened.

I got older, I got busy raising our three boys. And this took precedence over my racing and my training. I gradually gained weight and really had no idea how to lose the weight. I had never had to think about nutrition before. It was all catching up to me.

Life took a big turn for us in 2013. Our oldest son was diagnosed with Ewing’s Sarcoma, a rare pediatric bone cancer. He eventually would pass November 16, 2014 at the age of 20. Hurting and knowing we would never want to see another family go through the pain we feel, we established the Sean Karl foundation (www.seankarlfoundation.org) to raise money for Ewing Sarcoma research.

During the time we were putting the foundation together, I discussed needing to find something extremely physical to remind me of the pain he went through on a daily basis. I mentioned to family and friends the idea of running a marathon in all 50 states to help raise money for the foundation and to feel him during the hard times of the marathon and remember his difficult daily struggles.

It was at this time I realized I needed to lose weight if I was ever going to be able to run another marathon, let alone 50. So as luck would have it, I ran across a couple of friends that i noticed had successfully lost weight and asked them what they were doing. They couldn’t stop raving about Dr. Tiff, and how they had learned to actually eat MORE food and still lose weight. I was, and always had consistently trained hours a week, and yet found myself unable to drop the weight. It was time to call in the experts! Tiffany, not realizing she would change my life. I owe my success to running the 7 marathons to Tiffany and am so fortunate to have worked with her.

Thank you Tiffany!!
