Things To Do Before Getting Your RMR Measured
Like many medical tests, there are special guidelines to follow before you have your resting metabolic rate measured.
- Do not eat for at least four hours prior to the test
- Do not partake in physical exercise for at least four hours prior to the test
- Do not consume caffeine for at least three hours prior to the test
- Avoid taking any type of nutritional supplement or medications that may contain ephedra.
- Do not consume nicotine for at least one hour before the test
- Resten to fifteen minutes before the RMR test is administered
